Snow season is approaching, which means it's time to start preparing your equipment. There's a lot to do before a snowstorm so having your equipment ready now is one less thing you'll have to worry about later.
Check out SnowEx's pre-season maintenance checklist for plows, spreaders, and trucks here! We had a blast talking all things snow with some of our contractors on Wednesday! After a busy winter it's always nice to refresh and restock our inventory. Check out the video above of our team unloading brand new SnowEx Liqui Maxx liquid spray systems! We have 3 different tank sizes in stock with the pump & control packages to match! Choose from the TSA-500, TSA-750, or the TSA-1250 tanks with interchangeable pump and boom assemblies for a fully customizable modular design. Interested in the TSA-300? We can order it with the click of a button! The elliptical tank shape allows for low centers of gravity, with durable dry seal pumps that prevent them from running dry. The standard control is a simple, no-hassle operation with toggle switches for the 3 spray zones. The deluxe control will automatically adjust the flow rate with speed input as needed, making deicing a breeze. These new rigs would be the perfect addition to your equipment lineup. The easy-to-use control systems and high volume tanks provide maximum efficiency for all your liquid deicing needs. Give us a call today at 314-678-0114 for pricing and additional information. Making sure your equipment is clean and well protected is the best way to prep it for storage. Here at Swinter, we like to make sure all of our plows, trucks, skidsteers, wheel loaders, power brooms, and more are washed first to remove any dirt and grime. From there, we blast everything with the Krown Salt Eliminator wash to make sure we get rid of all the pesky, leftover salt. Finally, we apply Krown Rust Protection to all of our equipment to make sure it stays in top shape while in storage for the Summer. Our gasoline spreaders get a little extra attention. Before we wash them, we drain out the gas and lubricate the cylinder walls with fogging oil. Each spreader then gets washed, then sprayed with the Krown Salt Eliminator to fully remove any residue and break any chemical bonds between the metal and salt. The last step before storage is to coat everything in Krown Rust Protection to keep everything looking and acting brand new. St. Louis experienced the majority of its snow and winter weather in just over two weeks, from February 6th, to February 21st. For 16 days our crews worked day and night to keep the snow at bay. Unofficially named Winter Storm Uri, the entire North American continent from Northern Mexico, the entire United States, and parts of Canada were blanketed in snow and ice from February 13th to February 21st. Coast-to-coast the country was affected, with many losing heat, water, and electricity. Amidst this record setting storm, our crews were out plowing and salting to keep our community safe. February 14th and 15th set the lowest maximum temperature records, and February 6th to 18th, 2021 tied with 1899 for the most consecutive days with a high temperature less than 32 degrees. This storm was snow joke! Thanks for the info US National Weather Service Saint Louis Missouri!
. Plowing our way into 2021, we’ve already captured the attention of multiple news outlets, and even another state! With 20 inches of snow on the horizon, Ken, Brent, and Michael were called in to Lincoln, Nebraska to help out with a huge amount of snow over there.
While they were on their way home, St. Louis had its own blanket of snow fall, and Swinter’s handy work was featured on channels 2 and 4. Todd Capstick, a Swinter Area Manager, wonderfully captured the excitement of our hard-working crews and showcased our plowing and salting on a lot he had cleared earlier in the day. With all of our crews home safe, our Brrrr-lliant team can’t wait for more snow! |
